Robert Dugoni went to Stanford University where he majored in Communications/Journalism and Creative Writing and worked as a reporter for the Stanford Daily. He has worked for the Los Angeles Times and went to the UCLA law school before practicing law for 13 years in San Francisco. It wasn’t until 1999 when he decided to quit his law job and began writing novels.
As well as the novels in the Tracy Crosswhite series, Dugoni also released a couple of prequel short stories. The first is The Academy (2014) and the second is Third Watch (2015).
