G'day, the name's Damo Gay and I'm an Australian who absorbs crime fiction with a passion.
Years ago, when I found it difficult to track down Aussie crime books I created a site called Crime Down Under and set about compiling books by Australian authors. Mostly for my own consumption but also as a record for others to use.
Seeing as how I've got a pretty crap memory, I started writing reviews of the books that I've read. This is partly so that I "enjoy" each book for a second time and partly to make my mark, a kind of "I was there", if you will.
That site was eaten up by some very diligent hackers. (You bastards!)
Anyway, now that I'm retired I've decided to resurrect the site in the form of Australian Crime Fiction HQ.
