Andrew Croome was born in Canberra, grew up in Hobart and Albury/Wodonga and is now studying at Melbourne University. His debut novel, Document Z, has won the 2008 The Australian/Vogel Literary Award as well as the 2010 NSW Premier's Literary Award - UTS Glenda Adams Award for New Writing for Fiction. The novel has also been shortlisted for the Ned Kelly Award for best first novel and was a finalist for the 2010 Sydney Morning Herald 2010 Best Young Novelist award.
