Ben Hobson is a writer and teacher of English and music. He grew up in rural Gippsland, Victoria, and after college traveled around Australia in the hybrid ska/rock/hardcore band Sounds Like Chicken. His first book To Become A Whale was longlisted for the ABIA Debut Fiction award and shortlisted for the Courier-Mail's People's Choice Award.
