She is the author of historical novels that have been highly regarded in Australia and around the world, translated into several languages. She has ventured into the mystery genre with her Charlie James novel The Paris Mystery. She is a partner with her husband in the award-winning Melbourne wine bar Bellota and the Prince Wine Store in Melbourne and Sydney
