Simon was born in Adelaide, South Australia. He is a graduate of both the University of South Australia and Flinders University. He and his wife, Karen, share their home in rural Victoria with a farm full of rescued animals and a large collection of books. Simon is a lover of baseball, jalapeños and sculpture.
