Jessica Anderson was born in Brisbane in 1925 and lived most of her life in Sydney. She has won the Miles Franklin Award twice for Tirra Lirra By the River and The Impersonators. Her book of short stories titled Stories From the Warm Zone won the Age Book of the Year Award in 1987. Of the 8 novels she has written, only 1 of them is a crime novel and is the only book I have listed here.
