Peter Mapleson was born in 1961. He has worked as a musical director, conductor, repetiteur and musician on many major musicals such as Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Cats and Godspell that have been presented in Australia. He has also taught musical theatre performance and audition techniques to drama students. Peter was a regular writer for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and had many of his works included in various compilations of music for children. Peter died in Italy in 2001.
